Then something like hands picked both of them up by their shirts and the next thing they knew, they were airborne and saved from the elephant stampede. They were picked up by two golden eagles who saw that Katie and Anna were in trouble and flew in to help. Anna looked up at her eagle and joyfully exclaimed “Why it’s Bob…and Amanda!” The two had petted Bob and Amanda last year when their family had visited the zoo. Even then the eagles seemed friendly and courageous.

The eagles flew high and far, with their great, strong wings. Anna and Katie rose into the clouds and then above the clouds. They could see the sun to the west and the mountains down below.
